Introduction
Professor Zhang Haiyan committed to the research and application of new nano-carbon energy composite materials for lithium/sodium ions batteries, supercapacitors and other energy storage materials. Has presided over and undertaken more than 60 research projects, such as The Natural Science Foundation of China-Guangdong Joint Fund Project，National Natural Science Fundation of China (General Program), National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), Subtopic of National Science and Technology Infrastructure Program, International Cooperation Project of of Guangdong Province. Granted 55 duly authorized patents. Won the third prize of scientific and technological progress in Guangdong Province in 1999, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2014， and the 7th Ding Ying Science and Technology Award, Excellent teachers in south Guangdong in 2004. In the field of energy Materials and electrochemistry, more than 150 research papers have been published in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Carbon, J. Power Sources， Electrochim. Acta，Nanoscale, Chemical Engineering Journal, ChemElectroChem and other international journals.
Long-term cooperative relations was established with the pearl river delta leading enterprises and the overseas Universities, such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, the United Kingdom and Canada. All of these can provide good help for students in their employment/further study. In addition, Professor Zhang has been trained more than 100 postdoctoral, doctoral and master's degree students at home and abroad in material processing, material physics and chemistry, polymer physics and chemistry, etc. Many of these students have won the gold medal in the entrepreneurship (innovation) challenge cup for college students in the Guangdong province, silver medal of China University Students' Entrepreneurship plan competition, Guangdong University Students' material innovation competition, Guangdong outstanding graduate student award, Guangdong outstanding master's Thesis Award and other awards.
