The AHRC project ‘Classics and Class in Britain 1789–1939’ (2013–16) which she directed together with Henry Stead (then at the Open University and now a colleague at St Andrews) funded the symposium ‘Ancient Greek Pots and Class in Britain 1798–1939’ which I convened at King’s College London in May 2016; and also a visit to Stoke-on-Trent to investigate Stoke City Archives and Wedgwood archives, and to examine pottery in the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.
