In many ways, the Association for the Sociology of Religion has enjoyed much success over the past year and is in excellent shape as we enter 2022. Our 82nd annual meeting online this year was a great success. Highlights of this year’s meeting included James Cavendish’s Presidential Address, “Religion as a Resource in an Increasingly Polarized Society” and Kelsy Burke’s Furfey Lecture, “Piety, Perversion, and Politics: The False Dichotomy of Sex and Religion in America.” We offered a wide range of sessions, including ASR/ASA Joint Mentoring Sessions.
