Reviewing is a fitting term to introduce this book. I have been familiar with the work of Luis Radford for many years now, and this book is a welcome addition to an already impressive authorship. It gathers over ten, even twenty, years of development of the theory of objectification in various publication venues and revisits its concepts, while presenting them as a coherent whole. This is a book I will keep at hand and use for various reasons: it is full of ideas and examples, interesting references, and great wording. It is an excellent resource for those such as myself who work “in dialogue” with the theory, and for someone looking for a general yet precise and concrete understanding of the theory.

Luis Radford
