There has been an update on the Competing interests disclosure: Chunjiang An is on the board of Environmental Systems Research.
Following the publication of the original article [1], it was noted that one of the authors was an editorial board member of the journal at the time of the submission of the manuscript and therefore it should have been declared as a non-financial interest in the ethics declarations.
