Abstract

Crystallization of molecular sieves SAPO-41 from gels containing layered 2D silicoaluminophosphates with various SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratios (from 0.1 to 0.3) was studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF), Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), N2 adsorption–desorption, and IR spectroscopy with pyridine adsorption. The effect of the presence of layered phases in gels on the chemical and phase compositions, acid properties, and porous structure characteristics of their crystallization products was established. A procedure for the synthesis of SAPO-41 of high phase purity and degree of crystallinity was proposed. The catalytic properties of Pt-containing catalytic systems prepared on the basis of the obtained molecular sieves in the hydroisomerization of n-hexadecane were studied.
