Abstract

Due to their applications in nonlinear optics, luminescence and fluorescence sensing, the organic conjugated dyes have attracted extensive attention. In this paper, a novel organic conjugated dye exhibit donor-acceptor structure, which was prepared by various coupling reaction and [2+2] click chemistry reactions. UV–Vis absorption spectra, cyclic voltammetry curves and Z-scan were carried out and they proved that different substituents could well affect the shifts of absorption bands, electrochemical energy levels and the third-order nonlinear optics response. The synthesis of novel compound of NLO materials, the fine tuning of intramolecular charge transfer and the properties of nonlinear optics showed that these materials would apply in organic photonic devices.
