We provide an analytic review of problems of the modern stellar astronomy, which is mostly based on talks presented at the twelfth annual conference on Modern Stellar Astronomy, held at the Caucasian Mountain Observatory of Sternberg Astronomical Institute, Moscow State University (Kislovodsk, Russia) in November 2022.
