Abstract

Despite considerable progress in the field of anticancer agent development, there remains a demand for more efficacious and safer drugs. The utilization of current agents in cancer treatment often leads to undesirable side effects, while the emergence of drug resistance presents a significant obstacle in achieving favorable outcomes for numerous patients. Due to their remarkable biological potential, synthetic feasibility, and structural versatility, 1,2,3-triazoles have emerged as compelling building blocks in the realm of anticancer agent and pharmaceutical compound development. This review article focuses on recent advancements in the synthesis of triazole derivatives and their application as potent drug candidates for the treatment of cancer.
