Physical and Chemical Properties of Dense Ceramics Based on a Mixture of Calcium Phosphates

Abstract

The paper considers the method of materials of various natures for medical purposes. When determining the physical and mechanical properties of the samples, it was found that with an increase in temperature, the density of the obtained ceramics increases, which is due to a decrease in the number of large pores, which opens up the possibility of using these materials as implants that carry significant mechanical loads during implantation (for example, replacement of the cortical bone of the jaw). It was found for the first time that, in addition to the filler in composite materials, the synthesized FA mixture can be used to create dense ceramics. The samples are represented by TCP and PFC phases, with an increase in the sintering temperature from 900 to 1100°C, the density and strength of the resulting ceramics increase, and the dissolution rate in various media decreases. Thus, the range of use of synthesized materials is expanding.
