Correlation between structural, micro-structural studies and dielectric properties of Pb1-xSrxTiO3 ceramics obtained via Pb substituted by Sr hydrothermally synthesized at low temperature

PbSrTiO ceramics noted PST with (x = 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 100 %) were synthesized by hydrothermal method at 180 °C for 24 h. Pressure, temperature and pH of the environment are essential factors to obtain a pure phase. The effect of Pb substitution by Sr on the structural and dielectric properties was studied. Pure phases of perovskite structure without secondary phases were confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. Refinement of the spectra obtained using the Rietveld method revealed that the substitution leads to a transition from the quadratic phase (P4mm) to the pseudo-cubic phase (Pm m). The occurrence of functional bands was also verified by Raman spectroscopy at room temperature. Using a scanning electron microscope (SEM), the texture, morphology and microstructure of the PbSrTiO ceramics were observed. The study of dielectric properties was examined by impedance spectroscopy of dielectric measurements in the temperature range from 30 °C to 500 °C as a function of frequency, confirming the incorporation of Strontium and highlighting its influence on the Curie temperature (T), permittivity value (ε) and dielectric losses (tanδ).
