Preparation of Mn2O3/Fe2O3 composite cathode material for zinc ion batteries from the reduction leaching solution of manganese ore tailing

A MnO/FeO composite is prepared from manganese ore tailing through reduction leaching process and thermal decomposition method. The MnO/FeO composite exhibits a high reversible capacity of 224.8 mA h/g after 300 cycles at 0.5 A/g. The charge/discharge mechanism of the MnO/FeO composite is analyzed by ex-situ XRD and XPS characterizations.
