Research and Design of an Intelligent Street Lamp Control System Based on NB-IoT

Abstract

This paper designs an intelligent street lamp control system based on narrowband internet of things (NB-IoT) technology to achieve intelligent control and management of urban street lamps. The system utilizes the latest NB-IoT technology, embedded technology, sensor technology, cloud computing technology, etc., to realize data acquisition, transmission and processing of street lamp equipment. Combined with light sensors and PWM or 0–10 V dimming modes, the system can automatically or remotely adjust the brightness and switch of street lamps according to the demand and environmental conditions, and monitor and record the current, voltage, power and other data of street lamps. The system can also timely to alarm and analyze in case of faults, and realize convenient control and management through mobile APP. The system can reduce the energy consumption and management cost of street lamp system, to improve the intelligence level of street lamp control and management, and provide an effective solution for smart city construction.
