In this manuscript, in order to enhance the performance of ICRFB single–cell assembled with SPEEK–based membrane under higher current densities, the SPEEK/MWCNT−NH2 hybrid membranes were prepared and investigated. After the tests including physicochemical properties and electrochemical characterizations, the single–cell containing S/MWCNT−NH2–2 exhibits significantly enhanced efficiencies compared with the single–cells containing original SPEEK and the Nafion 212 membranes.
