In Europe, a huge collaborative research program, namely Smart Networks and Services joint Undertaking (SNS JU), was launched in November 2021 to address all relevant research areas towards the development of 6G systems [1]. This Institutionalized Partnership is jointly funded by the European Union (EU) and the private sector (Industry, SMEs, Academia) with a total budget of at least €1.8 billion for the period 2021–2027. An EU contribution of €900 million will be at least matched by the private members. The SNS JU provides financial support in the form of research and innovation grants to participants in open and competitive calls for proposals.
