Oxide solid–solution catalysts can be readily synthesized and analyzed through well–established methods. Employing computational techniques, we can delve into their atomic–level structures. This review centers on their good redox properties and endeavors to unify the principles and ideas governing oxide solid solutions involved in liquid–phase aerobic reaction without the need for additives.
