In this work, Ag-IL/AC catalysts were synthesized by loaded ILs phase dispersion technique, the presence of ILs stabilized the Ag species to maintain the Ag⁺ state and improved the dispersion of the Ag species. As a result, the catalytic performance of the Ag-IL/AC catalysts was 2.5 times higher than that of the conventional Zn/AC catalysts at a low-temperature of 180 °C.
