Shaul A Duke, Ben-Gurion University

Shaul A. Duke earned his PhD from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. He is the author of The Stratifying Trade Union: The Case of Ethnic and Gender Inequality in Palestine, 1920-1948 (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017). His previous research in political sociology has appeared in Critical Sociology, and his work on technology's potential to enable independent large-scale research appeared in Current Sociology. In the last three years he is engaged in the interface between society and technology, with an emphasis on surveillance studies, and the sharing economy.
