Resumen
Se describe e ilustra Dendrophthora kuijtiana (Santalaceae), una nueva especie de muérdago endémica de los páramos y subpáramos de los Andes Venezolanos. Discutimos sus aspectos ecológicos, y su afinidad taxonómica con Dendrophthora davidsei. Además, se presenta un nuevo registro (D. paucifolia) y dos actualizaciones (D. karuaiana y D. warmingii) para Dendrophthora en Venezuela y se ofrece una clave dicotómica para reconocer todas las especies de Dendrophthora reportadas para el Parque Nacional Guaramacal.
Abstract
Dendrophthora kuijtiana (Santalaceae), a new species of mistletoe endemic to the páramos and subpáramos of the Venezuelan Andes, is described and illustrated. We discuss aspects of its ecology, and taxonomic affinities with Dendrophthora davidsei. In addition, we report a new record (D. paucifolia) and two updates (D. karuaiana y D. warmingii) to Dendrophthora in Venezuela and present a dichotomous key to identify the species of Dendrophthora reported for the Guaramacal National Park.
