Abstract

The research data on the accumulation and translocation of phytomass by blocks of plant matter and on nitrogen concentration and reserves are given. Compensation of nitrogen balance in light chestnut and meadow-chestnut soil and typical solonchak in grass ecosystems of the Northwestern Caspian Region under conditions of aridization and desertification is assessed.
