We, the Editors and Publisher of Cancer Management and Research, have retracted the following article.

Following publication of the article, concerns were raised about the duplication of images from Figure 7 with images from other unrelated articles. Specifically,

  • Images from Figure 7E, y-H2AX, have been duplicated with images for Figure 9F, USP8, from Huang Y, Xia L, Tan X, et al. Molecular mechanism of lncRNA SNHG12 in immune escape of non-small cell lung cancer through the HuR/PD-L1/USP8 axis. Cell Mol Biol Lett. 2022;27:43. https://doi.org/10.1186/s11658-022-00343-7 and Figure 8G, HuR, from Zhao J, Lin H, Huang K, et al. Cancer-associated fibroblasts-derived extracellular vesicles carrying lncRNA SNHG3 facilitate colorectal cancer cell proliferation via the miR-34b-5p/HuR/HOXC6 axis. Cell Death Discov. 2022;8:346. https://doi.org/10.1038/s41420-022-01116-z.

The authors were cooperative and responded to our queries but were unable to provide a sufficient explanation for the image duplication or sufficient data for the study. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article and the authors agreed with this.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and COPE guidelines.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
