Abstract

The article discusses the influence of the differential response C curve described by various algebraic equations but characterized by the same dispersed second-order central moment, the relative final concentration of reacting component A in a simple elementary reaction of the first order, and the reactor volume. The preferred description of the flow structure is demonstrated using an integrated model with consecutive combination of areas of ideal displacement and mixing in comparison both with conventional cellular and diffuse models, and with nontypical response functions (equiprobable, directly and inversely proportional).
