Abstract

Processes of conversion of copper-sulfide concentrate by low-temperature sintering of the concentrate without the addition of chemical reagents and subsequent cake leaching with water are studied. The regimes of sintering of the concentrate are worked out. Copper-sulfate- and iron-containing cake are obtained as final products after cake leaching and filtration. The emission of sulfur-containing gases into the atmosphere is excluded due to their absorption by KOH with the formation of potassium sulfate.
