Abstract

The reaction of N,N '-disubstituted 2,6-bis(pyrazol-3-yl )pyridine ligand (L) with a divalent nickel salt gave a new nickel(II) complex [Ni(L)(H2O)(THF)Cl]BPh4 (I), which was isolated in a pure state and characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, NMR spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction (CCDC no. 2221412). According to NMR spectroscopy data combined with the results of quantum chemical calculations, complex I does not show saturation transfer effect in solutions.
