Ailana Fraser is Professor of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia. She received her BSc from the University of Toronto and her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Stanford University. She was a Courant Instructor at the Courant Institute (NYU) and a Tamarkin Assistant Professor at Brown University before joining the faculty at the University of British Columbia in 2002. Her research interests include differential geometry and geometric analysis, in particular minimal surface methods in Riemannian geometry. She was awarded the 2012 Krieger Nelson Prize and the 2021 Cathleen Synge Morawetz Prize from the Canadian Mathematical Society, and is a Fellow of the AMS and CMS.
