Prof. Tim Wright obtained his BSc(Double Hons) in Chemistry and Mathematics from Southampton University in 1988, and his PhD in Photoelectron Spectroscopy of Metal-containing Species in 1991. He moved to Munich in 1991 having won a Royal Society European Exchange Fellowship, and then to The Ohio State University in 1993 having won an Ohio State University Research Fellowship. In 1995 he returned to Southampton having obtained a Lloyds Tercentenary Fellowship; in 1997 he won an EPSRC Advanced Fellowship. He moved to Sussex in 1999 and became a Senior Lecturer before leaving in August 2004, moving to University of Nottingham as a Reader in Physical Chemistry, and is now Professor of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry.
