研究领域

膜蛋白在细胞活动中承担了各种各样的重要生物学功能,例如光合作用中的光能吸收和转化,呼吸作用中的电子传递和氧化磷酸化,物质的跨膜转运,信号的跨膜转导和膜内的酶促反应(如蛋白质降解,脂的合成和水解等)的催化等等。据估计,原核和真核细胞基因组中大约有20-30%的阅读框编码膜蛋白,凸显膜蛋白研究的重要性
